This is how immigrants create more jobs

Immigrants are a great influence in the US Economy. They work at high rates and make up more than a third of the workforce in some industries. Their geographic mobility helps local economies respond to worker shortages, smoothing out bumps that could otherwise weaken the economy. And most notably, children of Immigrants seek upward mobility, which in turn helps the economy.

According to the new American economy, in 2019:

  • There were 3.2 Million immigrant entrepreneurs in the US

  • 8 million people were employed at immigrant-owned businesses

  • In total, they had $1.3 Trillion of total sales

  • The rate at which new businesses were founded by immigrants increased by 50 percent from 1996-2011

As the number of immigrants grows, these numbers will grow exponentially.
